The Thunderbolt Ski Runners will be hosting a once in a lifetime event on Mt. Greylock on March 13th (NEW DATE). The Superhighway will be busy with racers making the ascent before the race. The participants will be crossing the road and the summit before they head down the Thunderbolt. We will be helping out hauling equipment, and ski patrol if necessary, up the Cheshire Harbor Trail. The Bellows Pipe Trail will be temporarily closed to through traffic for the duration of the event. There will be temporary closings on all these trails throughout the day, so please use extra caution if you are in the area. This is expected to be a huge event for our small town of Adams. For more information about the event check out the Ski Runners website at www.thunderboltskirunners.org/race. Thank you for your support and understanding! Trail Advisory! -Due to complaints about a loud sled running near land owners homes between 2 and 3 in the morning, the section of trail between the Ashwilticook Rail Trail and Fred Mason Road (Corridor Trail 90) has been posted as a "slow zone" during the day, with a curfew between the hours of 12 midnight and 8 am. Please respect the land owners request or we will lose this section of CT 90, which is the only connection we have between the west and east sides of town! |
